Head-to-Head

ALLWEI Portable Power Station 300W vs Jackery Explorer 500 v2 Portable Power Station

Our Verdict

This pairing sets the budget entry point in our lineup against an established mid-tier name, and the gap between them is smaller than the brand recognition suggests. Both run LiFePO4 cells, both deliver pure sine wave AC, and both are built around the same use case: keeping laptops, phones, and small appliances alive away from an outlet.

Output is the first real dividing line. The ALLWEI delivers 300W continuous with a 600W surge, while the Explorer 500 v2 offers 500W continuous and a 1,000W surge. In practice that means the Jackery can handle a slightly larger draw — a small blender, a bigger CPAP setup, a compact power tool — where the ALLWEI would cut out. Capacity follows the same pattern, with the Jackery holding roughly double the watt-hours.

The ALLWEI answers with port count and portability. It packs six output ports including two DC5521 connections and a car cigarette lighter port, which is more connection variety than the Jackery offers, and it weighs only 6.4 lbs — less than half its rival. It also supports dual AC-plus-solar charging that fills it in about two and a half hours, a nice touch at this tier.

Durability favors the Jackery. Its cells are rated for 6,000 charge cycles against 3,000 for the ALLWEI, so it should last roughly twice as long under identical use. The Jackery also includes a 10ms UPS with bypass charging, making it usable as a desk-side backup for a router or a computer, which the ALLWEI does not match. Build quality and refinement read as a tier apart when handling them.

On value, the ALLWEI is the most affordable option in our entire lineup and undercuts the Jackery substantially, which is its strongest argument.

Choose the ALLWEI if you want the lightest, cheapest way to keep small electronics running on a camping trip. Choose the Explorer 500 v2 if you want longer cell life, UPS backup, and headroom for slightly larger loads.
